Designer and owner Elena spoke to me when I visited Deka where I could not help but “ooh” and “ah” over every single piece of jewelry, or should I say art. Elena, originally from Greece, felt there was a need for a jewelry store in the neighborhood when she and her husband moved to the area, and Deka reflects her Greek origins – most of the jewelry is imported from Europe, specifically Greece and Italy. However, there are also many pieces showcased by local designers.
